Can You Spell It, I Can't? All of Us bad Hubbers need a place to right. How Much Do You Dislike Them?

Updated on September 24, 2015

People who like to write.

This hub is about what many hubbers think of us bad hubbers. I'm one of the bad ones. Are you one of the hubbers who dislike hubbers you think can't write or spell? You know the ones, hubbers who have some trouble with grammar or spelling. Why would you dislike them? I think they have very likely visited your hubs and left comments and been very nice to you. Do you also want to stop them from coming to your hubs? How about the traffic you get from the outside of HubPages I wonder how many of the people who stop by your hub have great grammar and spelling, not many I think.

It's a form of snobbery. There seem to be many snobs on HubPages. They think they're so educated they belong here and no one else does.

HubPages encourages this attitude by not letting some hubbers into the HubPage's apprentice program. I know the people who get into the program deserve it and I know they have worked hard. I sure don't mind the (A) in front of their profile it just shows they have been in the program. I know for sure they would never accept me in the program and I probably need it more than most.

Still Good People

My grandmother couldn’t write, but she taught herself how to. I loved to read her letters. She spelled the way it sounded to her.

As a young girl she couldn’t go to school she had to spend her time in the cotton fields helping her family. She was one very good person. She would help anyone out. She lived to be 100. She had seven children live and seven die.

What stories she could tell. She traveled in a covered wagon with her family.

Do you really want to dismiss her because she couldn't spell or didn’t have the right kind of grammar?

I sure would rather have the kind of people my grandparents were as my neighbors than some of the snobby people I have seen on HubPages.

When someone can’t spell and has bad grammar or don’t put their punctuations in the right place, no big deal. I know what they mean. I figure there’s always a story behind this person’s life. I think everyone should be on Hubpages. They very likely have far better stories to tell.

Now I know some of you hubbers won’t like this and feel I’m wrong.

I think anyone who needs help can always count on a hubber to help because I believe there are some very kind people on here.

I try as hard as I can to correct my hubs but I miss things and don't realize it.

Many people use Hubpages because they're just starting to write. Don't kill a dream.

I know we're not children but have you ever read children's papers? They’re interesting to read. Some people are like that. They may not be perfect, but they sure are interesting.

Just my opinion.

2013 A Note About My Grandma

This month I received a note from an old neighbor who lived next door to my grandma her Mom had just passed away and she was talking about old times.

Note:
Yes, I do remember the day Sharon when Grandpa Woods died. He had been fishing at the first ditch east of our house. He and Ma woods as we called her were such wonderful people to mom. Dad had left us and they helped mom raise us. Jean loved to sit on the screened in front porch with ma woods. I remember those wonderful days so much. We were just talking about them the other day as well

I can't edit this hub because it's meant to have bad grammar. I have been checking all my hubs trying to make improvements on grammar and spelling.

After all Google will hate me if I don't get it right.

Someone beat me to one of my hubs. She called me a Dumbazz and a Fatazz. You could tell she was a Hubpage person because she made sure she didn't use the a-- words she shouldn't use on HubPages. It's awful someone hates me so much to leave this kind of remark. She could have just told me the mistakes and I would have fixed them. Bless her heart.

What some people don't realize is we can find them just by their IP address, it's not so hard

Forums

If you go on the forums and read any of the stuff on there you will find out people who make grammar mistakes need to go someplace else to write. They're not welcomed on HubPages.

I can't believe the hubbers who don't like people just because they think they're dumb. The only reason they think they're dumb because of a mistake in spelling or grammar. There are some very nasty people get a thrill out of putting other people down. Mistakes happen, they happen to all of us except to people who think they are perfect. They think I'm just trying to pass myself off as a writer. I'm not. READ MY LIPS I AM NOT A WRITER. I don't plan to ever be a writer. I just like to make hubs. I love my computer and I always have, but I need something to do on it. No matter where I go someone will make fun of what I write or what I do.

I went to school in the 50's and 60's. I also grew up in an age where grammar and spelling mistakes were frowned on and you got a good slap on the hands with a ruler. We also had bad teachers and I have never forgotten the teacher who slapped me. I was so scared of her I could barely think when I went to her class, of course, I was only a first grader. Who knows why I don't get grammar or forget how to spell. My grades were good in English, but I guess I have forgotten much of it.

JFK couldn't spell and Einstein knew math but couldn't spell. There are very famous people who had bad grammar and couldn't spell.

I wish I was as erudite as some hubbers on HubPages or as they believe they are.

Thank goodness there are some very nice people on here.

I have more trouble with their, they're and there. I know exactly what each one means but when I type them on the page I will type the wrong one every time and have to go back and correct them. I hate to think what I have left in comments on some hubs. I sure make a lot of mistakes in my comments.

I guess I'm the bad house in the good neighborhood. I would hope my hubs would not pull other hubber scores down.

Hubbers have stomped off of HubPages in disgust blaming all the poor hubs on the bad views they are getting.

There will always be people who think you shouldn't take their remarks personal or they will say "I just say what I feel." Those people are just rude and with their remarks they are being rude.

I would guess you would find lots of mistakes in this hub and not just the mistakes I wrote

deliberately.

A Few More Things I Don't Like About HubPages

NEW COMERS~I also am not happy with newcomers come in hang around hubs than copy them in their own words of course!!. I've seen it happen so much, why can't they come up with their own subject? This is a subject for another hub I guess.

Unfeatured~I don't know what HubPages is thinking with this unfeatured thing, but I think it is hurting the site. If the hub is bad that's one thing, but another if the traffic has just slowed down. I see no reason to do this to people.

Anyways

There is one word I know not to use, anyways. I have never used it and don't think you can find it in any of my hubs. I may not be great at grammar, but I know not to use anyways. I see it used often and sometimes with people who believe they are great writers.

There she is the old bat.
