Tubes Tutorial.
How to make Tubes on Paint Shop Pro a tutorial of tubes they are so much fun to work with.
How I make Tubes
This is how I make tubes on my Paint Shop Pro 7. (Jasc Software ) I don't know if this tutorial will work with other paint shop pros. All the tubes you see on here are tubes I have made from clipart. I used simple clipart with white backgrounds. You can find lots of free clipart on the internet. I have so much of it that I collected years ago and put on floppy disk.
Tubes are great for changing the look of a photo. I also like them for making dividers. We often need a small divider in Hubpages and this program will make anything you want. Once you've made the tube you can make it as large are as small as you want.
Instructions
Open picture (clipart) from your folder with your clipart.
Increase color to 24 bit by going to COLORS on your Paint Shop Pro, then increase color depth.
Many times the color will be fine and you won't have to increase.
Open Layer palette by going to VIEW and down to Tool Bar put a check mark in Layer palette the layer palette will show up on your PSP.
To the right on top is what the layer palette looks like.
In your Layer palette:
Background right click on it then click promote layer it should then change to 1 background. On the left side of PSP click on the magic wand.
Click Magic Wand
Go to EDIT and Click CUT
GO to File and Click Export then click Picture Tube
A box will come up and you will need to name your tube. then click OK
Once you've done this check your picture tube and see if your new tube is there.
To the right is what a tube looks like. The rose is the tube I made then I put it on the Image Layer. This tutorial is for very simple clipart with very plain background. If you have a busy background you may not be able to get it all off with the magic wand. That would take another tutorial. I just wanted to give you the simple way to make tubes.
Mom spider and her babies made into a divider from tubes made on PSP. I call her Hilda. The unfortunate thing about Hilda, she is a brown recluse.
These are very simple tubes nothing fancy about them. Easy to use and they can be put on anything, add tubes to one of your photos to decorate them.
I plan on explaining how to make dividers from fonts. One day I will get to that. Though there are lots of free dividers on the internet. I also collected many of those but sometimes you just don't have the right one to go with the subject your talking about.
I have now have PSP divider hub. Take a look at that and see if it's something you would want to do. It will also explain how to save the dividers you make.

Thanks Cardisa, for stopping by my hub. I don't know of any other programs that work this way. I know you can download trial PSP. I got mine long ago and thank goodness it works with Windows 7. Some of the programs I really like wouldn't work with windows 7.
I used psp back in the 90s....thanks for the article i just might use it again..
nassy24 thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. I still like using mine I've had it since the 90's.
The more I can learn about computers and art, the better. Voted up!

Thanks Moonlake. I like fiddling around some, I'll have to try it, don't have paint shop so I'll have to get a copy. Does any other program work like it?
