Oh, this sounds outstanding. And the great thing about it is that one will be satisfying. The frosting sounds great too with the molasses. All good stuff.
Love this and will definitely try. Thanks a million and rated up.
Hi, they look almost good enough to eat! I could imagine myself dunking those in a cuppa. Mouths watering.....
Definately different. I think I have to try them.

They are really good. Thanks for stopping by Cutters.
These sound delightful although from your title I expected cayenne pepper rather than black pepper. Wonder what a tsk of cayenne would accomplish in your recipe? I may have to try that. Love all the other spices included.
I don't know why you couldn't use cayenne might be worth a try and see if the taste is a little different. Thanks for stopping by.
Ooh, spicy and sweet is the best combo. Nice recipe, voted up :)
Thank you, stephaniedas for stopping by. They are sweet and spicy and good.
This sounds similar to a molasses sugar cookie that my husband loves except that I use butter flavored crisco in place of the butter and it does not have the pepper. The pepper would spice it up! May have to try that the next time I make cookies. Thanks!

Their good I was going to make some for Christmas but just didn't get to them.
Thanks so much for coming by and leaving a comment.
I've been reading Joanne Fluke's "Hannah Swenson Mysteries" series. Since the main character owns a shop that sells umpteen varieties of freshly-baked cookies, each book contains recipes. So far there's no recipe for Hot Pepper Cookies, but there IS a recipe for "Hot Brownies" that sounds interesting. It's the only HS recipe made from a mix, not from scratch. Any commercial brownie mix will do because the last ingredient added after mixing everything else per the instructions on the box is one 4-oz can of chopped jalapeno peppers (drained). The peppers enhance the richness of the chocolate with only a minor "burn" after each bite. ;D
JamaGenee,
That's different. Doesn't sound real good but I know they put jalapeno in just about anything.
