I love white on white. Anything white I think looks great. It’s so crisp, clean and dreamy looking reminds me of winter all year long. Lighten and brightens a room. Any kind of sofa you have can be turned white with slip covers which is actually better to use if your going white. They can be taken off and washed.
Like most of us we have kids and pets and it may not be the best thing to go white in your whole house but you could always do one room. You can also just put touches of white around a room. Just a bed done in white is pretty and looks cozy in a bedroom.
You can see from the photos on this hub, not all items in the room have to be white. The fireplace in this picture isn't white but looks great in the room. If you look in the corner you'll see a spinning wheel.
I'm not crazy about winter snow but the first snowfall is so pretty, fluffy and dreamy looking.
Kitchens can also be done in white. If you have an old kitchen, paint your cabinets all white, all trim and walls white. We're all trying to save money and many of us don't have much now days. Whatever you can do to redo your home on the cheap is the best way.
This kitchen has a little green in the chairs but they can easily be painted white. I like the green or any other color such as pale yellow would also look nice with white. Pale colors seem to be the best look to keep to that dreamy white idea.
Buy anything and paint it white. Little ladders standing around are cute and good to use for books.
Old dressers are lovely done in white. Nothing has to match. If you have any old piece of furniture paint it white and many of it's flaws will disappear.
Bedrooms can be done in white just by doing all your bedding in white and crisp curtains or sheer white curtains.
Natural items or neutral colors added with white are pretty like the string ball and wreath.
The neutral colors of the pillows and throws in the living room above.
The ideas on how to do white in a home are endless. If your just not up to doing the whole house than just do some pieces in the house in white.
Old chairs are in yard or rummage sales everywhere. Little benchs also or they can be easliy made.
Don't be afraid to bring the outside in many pieces of lawn furniture look good inside and painted white. Anything in metal can be painted white. A large lawn rooster painted white to put in your kitchen.
Have a slouchy old sofa cover it in white.
Hang white platters or plates on the wall.
Paint knobs white or hooks for hanging coats.
Suitcases always look nice for night stands or beside your sofa, paint them white.Suitcases are also great items for storage in a small home.

Footstools covers in white. They can be made and just put over the top of your stool.
How many times have you gone to a yard sale and found old tables and chairs. They can be an ugly cheap set but if you paint it white it could look like the table and chairs below. Chairs don't have to match around a table. I can't tell you how many times I have seen those old maple table sets people are just dying to get rid of. Lets see when were they popular in the late 60's and 70's. Paint white they would look completely different. Mix and match use your imagination.
Old books cover them in white for your book shelf either in paper or use all white fabric in different designs.

Kinda relaxes you just looking at the photos
Hi Moonlake, the pictures look great.
The beauty about painting white is that your can decorate in any color. I am a color person myself, don't mind a background of white and few splashes here and there, but I like bright colors.
I am redoing my bathroom and after a long debate, I finally decided to have the bowl, basin and shower in white. I thinks I'll use white wall and floor tiles then I'll paint in a brighter color. I'll accessorize in color.
I like your hub, good tips.
Thought I wouldn't like all white decorations. But you make it all look livable.
Hi moonlake,
I really enjoyed this hub and I vote up .
Take care
Eiddwen.
Beautiful! Love all the photos too!
Actually, I think the pale green chairs in the kitchen are the perfect finishing touch. They echo the green of the plants.
With four black cats, three of them long-haired, going white is definitely not an option in my case! :)
Love this hub! So peaceful and pretty.
I love white decor. Just so hard to keep clean...I love its crisp clean feel.

Great ideas and beautiful photos. I love white indoors myself since it always looks fresh and give a room more space and light. The Christmas tree is wonderful and even if I don't like winter or snow I think I could cope better if I had a Christmas tree looking like that! Thanks for the great ideas!
