Why Use White?

I love white on white. Anything white I think it looks great. It’s so crisp, clean and dreamy looking reminds me of winter all year long. Lighten and brightens a room. Any kind of sofa you have can be turned white with slipcovers which can be actually better to use if you're going white. They can be taken off and washed.

Like most of us we have kids and pets and it may not be the best thing to go white in your whole house but you could always do one room. You can also just put touches of white around a room. Just a bed done in white is pretty and looks cozy in a bedroom.

You can see from the photos on this hub, not all items in the room have to be white. The fireplace in this picture isn't white but looks great in the room. If you look in the corner you'll see a spinning wheel.

I'm not crazy about winter snow, but the first snowfall is so pretty, fluffy and dreamy looking

Kitchens in white.

Kitchens can also be done in white. If you have an old kitchen, paint your cabinets all white, all trim and walls white. We're all trying to save money and many of us don't have much nowadays. Whatever you can do to redo your home on the cheap is the best way.Paint is cheap and goes a long ways.

This kitchen has a little green in the chairs, but they can easily be painted white. I like the green or any other color such as pale yellow would also look nice with white. Pale colors seem to be the best look to keep with the dreamy white idea.

Old dressers are lovely done in white. Nothing has to match. If you have any old piece of furniture paint it white and many of it's flaws will disappear.

Bedrooms can be done in white just by doing all your bedding in white and crisp curtains or sheer white curtains.

Natural items or neutral colors added with white are pretty like the string ball and wreath.

The neutral colors of the pillows and throws in the living room above.

The ideas on how to do white in a home are endless. If you're just not up to doing the whole house than just do some pieces in the house in white.

I have the dresser in the barn. It’s old and doesn’t look the greatest right now, but a little white paint and it would look so cute in a girls room. It’s a dressing table dresser with the big mirror and a bench

Paint any kind of old chandelier white add crystals and watch the sparkle in the room.

Cover an old chair in white or put a slip cover on an old chair.

Footstools covers in white. They can be made and just put over the top of the stool.

How many times have you gone to a yard sale and found old tables and chairs? They can be an ugly cheap set but if you paint it white it could look like the table and chairs below. Chairs don't have to all match, paint each chair white. I can't tell you how many times I have seen those old maple table sets people are just dying to get rid of. Let's see when were they popular in the late 60s and 70s? Painted white they would look completely different. Mix and match, use your imagination.

Christmas In White

I love this picture. Look at the wallpaper, it's just a natural and white design. The coffee table looks like a cheap table painted white. Throws and pillows in white. The mirror frame in white and the curtains in an off white. Muslin is always a good fabric to mix with white and it’s very cheap. It has the natural color. Make pillows for a room out of old white sweaters put natural color buttons on them.

Hope this hub has helped you decide if you can go white in your home.

Be proud of your home even if you're renting or own. All homes have their own charm even shabby old houses. If you try to love it no matter what you can make it beautiful. Make your home cozy, comfy and warm.

Think of military wives, they have to change their decor all the time put little touches of warmth in each place they live in makes a big difference. Stop waiting for that expensive set of furniture you want, do your own thing.
